Not all who wander are lost
JRR Tolkien, author
I have been exploring dis-used empty spaces for most of my adult life. It is a thrilling and exciting hobby and one that is enjoyed by
many.
Exploration is a natural human tendency.
The albums entitled Calis Mill and Wendy House are recent images from explorations I have made in my local area, Calderdale. These buildings are two of the oldest and in my opinion the fineset of this valley. They have been left in a state of decay and neglect for many years.
Dedicated to the memory of my deceased father, Raymond, is the body of work entitled Spirit these images were shot a month before my dad passed over, he assisted me on the shoot and we discussed the ideas central to the work which is based on my upbringing as a Roman Catholic growing up in Dublin.
The next time I was in this church was for his funeral.
Journeys is a visual document of trips I have made, this shall be regularly updated as I do like to move about and the cameras alway accompany me.
